Lithology and Thickness

The suite is composed of gray layered limestones with a thickness of 30-50 m.

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

It lies conformably on limestones and dolomites of the upper Devonian

Upper contact

It is conformably overlain by middle Viséan - Lower Moscovian limestones.

Regional extent

The Chukalik Fm is exposed in the southwestern part of the Turkestan region in the valley of the Zeravshan River near the village of Urmantan.
